Warm up Someone’s Heart…Give the Gift of Time

I am a sucker for advice columns.  I religiously read Carlyn Hax and Ask Amy in the Washington Post everyday.  Some discussions and comments are so honest and heart-felt, that they restore my faith in humanity, particularly after reading all the disasters and crises on the front page….

One comment today was about meals: (and I quote) “When my second child was born, I didn’t need a shower all over again and didn’t want my friends to go to the trouble.  But my friends threw a ‘meal shower’ for me, and I absolutely loved it.  Everyone brought a main dish to put in the freezer and pull out any time, as needed.  It is a wonderful custom, symbolic and incredibly helpful.”

If you have a friend who needs some help, and you don’t have the time to chop and cook, please consider our Care Package.   It is easy, delicious, made just for them.  During this chilly Spring waether, an oven baked Lasagna or Enchilada might just warm up their hearts.
