One of my hats…and a review of Chicken Ravioli

Most people I know wear many hats.  One of mine is Moms Inc. Silver Spring.  We gather once a month to share ideas and learn something new.  Through it I met women at WBO (Women Business Owners of Montgomery County), and learned about this mega event for all women are run or are interested in running their own business.

The event is in Rockville on September 7th.  There is a Early Bird special so I thought some of you might benefit from it:

Have you sampled The Power Conference?

Caroline Adams Miller will give you a taste of achievable goals

Cynthia de Lorenzi will ignite your senses with the buzz of business

Jan Fox’s talk will stir your communications

Drink in Dr. Sharon Freeman’s new book on “Women Making It”

Yes, a feast of possibilities is yours at The Power Conference!

Join us for the full course of networking, education and an Expo, and stay for dessert at the Evening Reception.

Only 3 weeks before the early bird special price runs out.

Sign up now at www.thepowerconference.com.

So between joggling my store and my volunteer work with the women’s organizations, the kids are home for summer break.  That means I get to spend more time having fun with them, but also answering to more “mmoommm, I want…”  It feels like an endless interruption of my daily work, and I can’t be happier:>  (Although I will never attempt to home school the kids!!)

During summer break. I get the kids to spend more time in the kitchen with me.  We had one of our Dream Dinners Favorites, Chicken Ravioli, last night.  It was fast and easy, and we added extra broccoli into the sauce.  Kids helped stirring the sauce and monitoring the boiling water.   Serving a nutritionally balanced meal and having fun with the kids in the kitchen – it was a wonderful mid-summer night.
