We love to travel, and without family members in the area, we rarely stayed home for Thanksgiving in the past. This year, however, we are keeping away from the busy roads and airports – we are staying home!

There are quite a few things I am excited about staying home this time: we will be able to catch up on some movies, some sleep, some holiday shopping and some good old fashion goofing-off. The best part is, the kids and I are booking a session at Dream Dinners to make our Thanksgiving feast – yes, we are open on Tuesday, Nov 23 and Wednesday, Nov 24, for last minute parents like myself :>

One of the items we will be sure to take home is Pumpkin Cheese Cake. It is a full size small cake, creamy and light – the subtle taste of pumpkin seasoning and the satisfying cream cheese blended in a perfect harmony. It is heavenly with a cup of steamy coffee. Plus it is one of the already-assembled desserts, so there is no work involved. (Of course, my husband is also planning on making a pumpkin pie from scratch, so we will see how that goes…)
