Healthy Living Tips… and a Preview of Holiday Roasted Turkey

I sometimes google tips for healthy living as a way to keep up with the industry, as well as a personal reminder.  Most of them you probably already know, but I found this one interesting because of all the games on TV:

Prevent idle hands. Being in front of the television is one of the biggest reasons people forget about portion control. To avoid bad snacking throughout a show, give your hands something else to do. Take up knitting, fill in a crossword or fold some laundry—the more your hands have to do, the less time they’ll spend reaching for food.  Hold a cup of hot tea or warm milk, and sip slowly.  This will keep your mouth busy and stomach occupied.

Speaking of food at this season – what are you going to do with Thanksgiving?  If you prefer not to deal with a mess in the kitchen and actually spend time socializing, our holiday meals are the way to go.  Our wildly popular boneless, french-cut turkey is succulent and spectacular.  It is equivalent to a 16 pound bone-in bird, and much more elegant.

Did I mention our to-die-for Holiday Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar and Pecans?  And you don’t want to miss the Savory Stuffing.  Check out more pictures by clicking on the image.

Happy Holidays and see you soon!
